BSHRM Explores Bicol

Fun and excitement filled the heart of HRM family as they marked the calendar from February 28 to March 4,2013 as one of the highlights of HRM Program activities for School Year 2012-2013. Selected HRM students enrolled in TC 101 (Principles of Tourism) and TC 102 (Tourism Planning and Development) with their faculty invaded the Bicol Region as they explored the natural beauty of nature, took pleasure in discovering the stories behind significant historical places and had Bicolano gastronomic experience offered in Naga City, Camalig, Tabaco, Legazpi, and Albay. But there's more. Students did not miss the opppotunity to unwind as they got on the dge of experiencing the hottest tourist destination in the country - wakeboarding at camsur Watersports Complex (CWC) and conducted a team - building activity.
Other places visited were: Naga Ecopark, Peñafrancia Museum, Naga City Mayor's Office (with courtesy call). They also went to the oldest university in Naga, Universidad de Santa Isabel, one of the sister schools of Sant Isabel College. Part of the rollong city tour included Metropolitan Cathedral, basilica Minore, Eternal Gardens (visited the mausoleum of the late DILG Secretary Mr. Jesse Robredo) and SM Naga for their free and easy activity.
The second day was filled with close nature activities visiting place like, kawa-kawa (Kawali - shaped top hill) Nature park, Mayon Skyline with tour inside Mayon Planetarium, Albay Dairy Farm, Cagsawa Ruins, and Ligñon Hills.
On the last day of the tour, the students were treated with the last minute visit to Pili Farm and Carmelite Monastery. During their last night in Bicol, students were awarded with certificates and had an evaluation of the entire tour.
